The Big Sleepover

A lot has happened since my last post, but I can't remember any of it. Chava is going through some kind of sleep regression and it has me haunted by memories of her early days - she goes to bed fine, but then wakes up 2-5 hours later and is up for hours. Nothing gets her back to sleep except finally wearing herself out. Then she is all cranky when we wake her at 7:3o for the day.

Maybe she's just nocturnal.

In other news, Michela and Eli slept over this weekend. Maddox woke them up before six, so if they're looking a little grumpy here, that's why:

Then they played dressup. Maddox wanted to be a "beautiful princess."

Ultimately, though, I think Eli had the most fun.

We buzzed Maddox last weekend

Here he is admiring himself in the mirror.

Then he seemed to become a nudist.

The excitement, it's at a new all-time high

Listen carefully as the video starts - she does that EVERY TIME.

Boogie-ing

Al hauled the kids to the Farmer's Market in the Boogie this morning (Chava does wear a helmet, she just doesn't have it on yet) where Maddox proceeded to eat an entire pint of strawberries by himself. Well, maybe he gave Chava one, by the juice on her face.

That is love

Tonight, Maddox fell off the bed and hit his head. He cried so hard that it became clear that he was going to barf. Al was holding out his hands to catch the vomit while I was holding Maddox, so I barked at Al to go find something for M to chuck in to. Al offered up our wicker waste basket (?!?!) which I shoved away, instead holding out the sweatshirt I was wearing in front of me to make a convenient bowl to receive my son's regurgitated dinner.

Maddox uses the camera

It's been a rough week; we've all been sick, including me and Chava at home on Thursday with an emergency call to Al to "come home NOW" because I just HAD to crawl in to bed. We all sound like we were sitting next to that TB guy on the plane, hacking our guts out. It's special.

But, in the midst, Maddox took a great picture of Al, and Al one of Maddox.
