Sunday

Maddox continues the tradition of sharing what he's eating, and Chava gets a barette.

Weekend activities

Chava took a poop of such extraordinary proportions on Saturday morning that Al had to strip her naked. He then left her in the living room while he disinfected that immediate area and found some new duds.

We spent some quality time at the park, trying to exhaust
Maddox, who had refused to nap.

Movies!

Chava eats!

Maddox does his ABC's, complete with burp!

Eating, bathing, and I'm working on movies

Maddox's dinner from last night: pizza and a pickle.

The cool new magnatic (and soon to be chalk) board that Al designed.

And Chava in her tub.

We started Chava on solids about a week ago ("solids" is used loosely - it's really more of a mush/paste). So, of course (well, actually, not "of course" given that she is the second child, what I mean is luckily) I have taken some pictures of her being fed so that we have SOMETHING to put in the baby book. Last night it was avacado paste and, in case you can't tell from her expression, she wasn't over the moon about it.

But Maddox really got in to the whole idea of taking pictures while eating. So, for your viewing pleasure, we have last night's refried beans (smushbeans, in our parlance):

And then, this morning, we had pancakes:

and cantelope:

Stay tuned for more exciting posts.

First day

Now I'm official. I can use this space to bitch and moan all I want - or, conversely, to wax poetic about how wonderful my children are. That's the thing about parenthood - it seems to be one of two extremes (at least to me). Sometimes, though, I do seem to experience both ends of the spectrum at once; swearing to myself as I clean up yet another 2 year old mess and then starting to cry because I'm so lucky to have such a great 2 year old.

I think the Christians have it right - celebrate your holidays during the day. That's why I have pictures from Easter and not from Passover - because we were so busy with two rapidly melting down children that I didn't have time to take any, much less partake in the Seder.
